VIDOCQ-ESC is an independent equine consultancy service specialising in surgery and orthopaedics. We support equine hospitals and veterinary practices in Germany and internationally by providing highly specialised surgical services.
Our concept is not designed as a competing practice, but as a medical partner for referring veterinarians.

We do not offer rigid service concepts. Our cooperation is tailored to the individual needs of your practice:
- referral to cooperating equine hospitals
- surgical support within your practice (e.g. standing procedures)

We develop your ideas together with you.
Consultation & Continuing Education
As a consultant service, we also provide advisory support in:
- surgery and orthopaedics
- radiographic and ultrasonographic diagnostics
- upper airway diagnostics
- dynamic overground endoscopy at your own facility
Upon request, we offer:
- in-practice training and clinical coaching
- support for continuing education events
- lectures, workshops and practical demonstrations
Surgery
Equine surgery represents the core of our clinical work.
Referrals can be arranged easily by telephone or e-mail. Together we discuss:
- case history
- diagnostic findings
- surgical options and alternatives
- selection of a suitable cooperating clinic
Throughout the entire hospital stay, we remain the direct contact person for both you and the horse owner.
Specialised procedures (e.g. vitrectomy for ERU or advanced dental surgery) are performed in close cooperation with our specialised referral partners.
Orthopaedics
At our Ottweiler-Fürth (Elchhof) location, we work together with the veterinary practice Dausend & Weyand-Regge, providing infrastructure at full hospital level.
